Everyone knows of TikTok at this point, which means that you’re either on it every day, or you know someone who is. There are now millions of people around the world that use TikTok on a daily basis, and most of them are part of the younger generation. Teens everywhere love to create engaging and fun videos as they hope to grow an audience around their content and become the next viral sensation.
However, what if you want to use your TikTok videos on the rest of your social media platforms? You can definitely save your TikTok videos onto your smartphone before you publish them, but if you try to download them once they are published on the app, they will come with TikTok’s watermark.
If you are trying to use your TikTok content for the rest of your networks out there, of course you don’t want to publish it with that annoying watermark.
The good news here is that there are quite a few ways to get rid of that watermark, and in this article, we are going to talk about those, including the best apps that can help you eradicate that watermark once and for all. Let’s do it.
Best Apps to Remove TikTok’s Watermark
We’ve already talked about how you can save your TikTok content to your smartphone before you have published it. However, sometimes you forget to do this, and if you have, you won’t be able to do it anymore unless you’re okay with it having a watermark.
They can be hard to remove, but this doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. Let’s take a look at the best apps that we have discovered to help you remove that watermark.
Apowersoft Watermark Remover
The first app on our list can be used with Android and Windows, and we think that it’s a pretty reliable tool to help you get rid of those watermarks. As soon as the app identifies the link that you send it, they can get rid of the watermark. You can also use it to get rid of watermarks on other platforms as well, which is pretty cool.
First, select ‘remove watermark from video’ that will be on the main screen.
Then, select ‘video’ at the bottom of the screen to import the video you are working with. You can drag and drop the video as well from your computer, and the good news is that you can import as many videos as you like. Once you have done this, you can review them in the player section.
Next, select the thumbnail that you want to edit and select the ‘selection’ tool. You will see a box come up that you can move around and set it so that it shows up when the watermark is there on the video.
Select ‘add parts’ and you can add up to five watermark selections with this. Select the red ‘X’ if you want to get rid of a box you don’t want.
TikTok watermarks have a habit of moving around, so you need to make sure that you can play the video and see all parts to get all examples of the watermark. If you want to get rid of multiple watermarks, then you will need to have a VIP plan.
Once you have selected your watermark preferences, select ‘preview’ at the bottom and you will get to see what your video will look like without the watermarks.
Remove and Add Watermark
This watermark app is compatible with Android only and you can use it to remove TikTok watermarks using a rectangle selection tool or a lasso. The app will then replace the area that you have chosen using similar pixels. They also have a cropping option if you would rather go with this instead.
We like this app, because it’s no frills and no fuss. This means that once you get started, you will be given an option to choose the video or image you want to remove the watermark from.
If you want to remove a watermark from a video, then you’ll tap ‘select video’. You will have the option to either remove a watermark or add a watermark. Select the option that you prefer.
After you have chosen what you prefer, then you will be able to select the video that you want from the appropriate app.
You will then go to a new screen with a preview of the video and a rectangle that you can put over the watermark to cover it.
Select the ‘plus’ icon at the bottom of the screen if you want to add more than one rectangle at once.
When you’re finished, select ‘save’.
Video Eraser is compatible with iOS, and we think it is pretty user-friendly. It can help you not only remove watermarks, but logos and other elements that might be present in your video. It is not particularly powerful, but it is a solid app that can be used for multiple mediums.
Once you have opened the app, select ‘more’ and then ‘crop video’ to remove the watermark.
Use the edges of the square to select the part of the video that you want to stay the same.
Once you’ve chosen the area that has the watermark, select the ‘export’ icon, and it will process.
The next app, Kapwing, can be used through the internet, and it can be used to get rid of TikTok watermarks in a number of different ways. You can also use it to adjust the trim and speed of your video.
Kapwing can help you crop out the watermark completely, cover it with your own watermark, blur it, or replace the watermark section with a non-watermark section. We’re going to go over two of these today, how to crop out the watermark completely and cover it with your own.
Cropping Out the Watermark
One of the easiest ways to remove a TikTok watermark is to simply crop it out of the video. Unfortunately, this is also the method that looks the least professional. With Kapwing, you can upload your video, or paste the link to the video.
Once you have uploaded your video, select ‘crop’.
Slide the purple sliders in the corners to make sure that the crop box is covering the part of the video that you want to keep. Make sure to leave the watermark out. Remember that TikTok watermarks move around, so you will need to crop the top and bottom to make sure that you get rid of it completely. When you have it looking the way you want it to, select ‘done cropping’.
Next, select ‘export video’ in the upper right corner of your screen. The video will automatically process and refresh once it’s finished, so that you can download it without the watermark.
Cover the Watermark
If you want to cover your watermark up instead of cropping it out, upload your video to the app and select the ‘text’ tool from the menu. Using this, you can change the background color of the text field so that you can cover up the watermark completely.
Then, move the text field to where you want it to be. You can do the same with an image overlay. Select ‘images’ from the menu at the top and find the file that you want to use to cover up your watermark.
TikTok watermarks typically show up at the bottom of your video, either on the left or right, so you might need to add two cover-ups. You can use the same cover-up by selecting ‘duplicate’ near the bottom where you will also find the editing tools.
If you want to get fancy, you can use a time stamp tool to move your watermark overlay when TikTok changes the location of the watermark. Just include more than one element that you are going to use to cover up your watermarks and select ‘timeline’.
From here, you can set each element to show up at a particular time in the video.
Once you have it how you like it, you can export your video.
All the apps that we’ve talked about so far can help you with multiple video editing tasks, but sometimes you just need an app that can help you get rid of that watermark right now and leave it at that. If this is the case, then you need to try out Musically Down. it is by far the easiest way to get rid of watermarks on your TikTok videos.
Open TikTok and locate the video that you want to download. Select the ‘share’ icon and copy the video link. Go to your dashboard on Musically Down and paste the link that you have just copied, making sure that you haven’t selected ‘enable video with watermark’.
You should see a preview of your video after a few seconds.
When you want to download your video, you will be taken to a new page where you can right-click on the video and choose to save it.
Now, you’ve got five different apps that you can use to remove TikTok watermarks, so that you can reuse your TikTok content on other social networks that your own. Make sure that you choose the ones that are going to appeal the most to the rest of your target audience and go for it.
Also, take a bit of time to find the app that resonates with you the best, so that you can use it for a long time to come. Good luck!
